Surfing in Nicaragua

The southwest Pacific coast is Nicaragua's surf region: warm water, offshore morning winds in the dry season, and breaks for first lessons through heavier reef and point waves. San Juan del Sur bay itself is the easy start. The beaches north of town, and the Popoyo and Tola coast that we group with this region, are where most schools and board rentals actually operate.
