Fishing in Nicaragua

Nicaragua fishes two completely different ways. On the Pacific, pangas and sport boats look for sailfish, dorado, tuna, and roosterfish. On Lake Nicaragua, the day is about guapote and other lake fish among the islets, with calmer water and a shorter ride from town. Either way, agree the full price before you board: captain, fuel, ice, tackle, and what happens if the wind shuts the trip down.
