Mombacho and the Isletas
The two Granada classics, what each one is for, and how not to do both badly in one rushed day.
The Isletas are a boat. Go slow, look for birds and howlers, and skip any stop that exists only to sell you a photo. Mombacho is a reserve on a volcano, cooler than the square, often wet. Doing both in one day means a short version of each. If you have one day, pick the lake in the heat of the dry season and the volcano if you want a walk. Canopy cables are a third activity next to Mombacho, not a substitute for the trails. Shoes with grip, a rain layer, and an agreed pickup time matter more than a slogan.
